The Second Coming of Jesus Christ!

The disciples had come to Jesus Christ with the question: "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" (Matthew 24:30.) Among the answers Jesus gave was this one:

"And there shall be . . . upon the earth distress of nations; with perplexity (no answers), the sea and the waves roaring . . ." (Luke 21:25).

The following figures come from the 1998 World Almanac and Book of Facts:

MAJOR FLOODS AND TIDAL WAVES

1900 - 1950 AD - - 12 major floods - 1 every 4 years
1950 - 1970 AD - - 22 major floods - 1 every year
1970 - 1990 AD - - 27 major floods - 1 every 9 months
1990 - 1998 AD - - 18 major earthquakes - 1 every 5 months

While working on this information, a major tidal waves hit Papau New Guinea. They are expecting the death toll to be more than 1,000 people. Again, there are many people who remark, "Oh, there have always been floods and tidal waves." True, but it is the increase of these things that points to the soon return of Jesus Christ. Are you ready for His coming? Have you been baptized in His Name, and filled with His Spirit?

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation" (2 Peter 3:3-4).
