NEWS FROM ISRAEL

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Praise his wonderful name! For He is excellent! He is great and He is worthy of all praise! It was April 21-23 that the UNITED PENTECOSTAL CHURCH IN ISRAEL had its first camp meeting which was held at Kibbutz Neve-Itan which is by the Jordan valley, few hundred meters away from the Jordan River which bordered the states of Israel and Jordan. It was in deed a wonderful experience by the 67 delegates which comprised by Filipinos (the majority), Colombians, Americans and a Israeli lady.

Sister Kim Johnson of the Parkway, UPCI, Milwaukee was the guest speaker. The messages and lectures she shared were so great and timely. Everyone was greatly blessed!

Rev. Robert Arthur and his wife Dorothy also delivered lectures which challenged the saints to stand even in a very stormy situations.

Sister Laurie Nelson of the Parkway UPCI, also shared a very important topic on how to live for God when you are away from home.

Sister Denice and Sister Sarah of the same Parkway church, also inspired us with their beautiful songs. And that kept the deligates to sing one of those songs during and even after the said Campmeeting. (That song is,"You are great and your miracles are great and there is no one else like you...).

Rev. Guy Garner of the Canaan restoration of Israel who greatly help us for the preparation of the meeting, also delivered a wonderful message about the saints part in the Kingdom of God. Also Pastor James Alfredo of the UPC, Amman, Jordan also shared a message on the power of Praise and Worship. It was really a wonderful experienced! The church was so blessed from those lectures and messages and they learned how to pray longer and stronger. Glory to God!

As a result everyone was refreshed by the presence of Jesus. And seven souls received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and 12 souls being baptized in the precious name of Jesus Christ! It was a wonderful baptismal experience because while baptism took placed in Jordan River, the Holy Ghost again moved in such a mighty way and everyone was blessed!

To those of you who greatly took part of the work of God here in the Holyland, we would like to thank you for all your labour of love which you have shared. For your fervent prayers for all of us here in Israel. Also thanks to the Parkway UPC for your prayers and allowing Sister Kim, Sis. Laurie, Sis. Denice and Sis. Sarah to come and minister unto us. We are looking forward to having another camp meeting again next year if the Lord will tarry.

God Bless you all.

In His Service,

Bro. Fred Mateo
