The Second Coming of Jesus Christ!

The Moral Decay

"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold (Matthew 24:12).

"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron" (I Timothy 4:1-2).

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" (II Timothy 4:3-4).

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy;

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God" (II Timothy 3:1-4).

Not a whole lot has to be added to all of these verses of Scripture. They picture accurately the day that we live in.

Many are saying among us (and not just in the religious world) that the real sign of the depravity of America is the people's attitude towards the president. "Don't impeach him. We don't care about his private life. Just so the economy is good!"

Why is this the way most people think? Is it because their own lives are not much better?

What should be our attitude towards the moral decay of our day? Should we just fold our hands, and say, "Oh well, there is nothing we can do about it?" That is what the devil would like us to do. But in the midst of all of this moral decay, there is a promise of revival taking place at the same time--if we wake up and shine for Jesus Christ!

"Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings (leaders) to the brightness of thy rising" (Isaiah 60:1-3).

Darkness--even gross darkness--but the promise is for revival to take place among those who wake up, rise up, and pray up!
